Back From the Brink?
Posted 09/20/2008 @ 5 :40 PM

It's happened before -- only once -- that the US Davis Cup team has lost the first two matches of a tie and come back to win the tie. And now, on clay, in Spain, is that result possible once again? Most likely, no. But after a come-from-behind four set victory by Mike Bryan and Mardy Fish on Saturday, the US team is hungry to prove they can pull off a stunning upset.

Here's how the tie got extended to a "game four"...

Is that not the coolest stadium you've ever seen? I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like it's a bull ring where they have matadors and bull fights. Incredible!

It all comes down to Roddick vs. Nadal tomorrow (at least to push it to a deciding 5th match). Roddick and the US team are likely praying for a miracle at this point. Nadal, on clay, in Spain -- that's a prefect recipe for shattered American hopes.
