Indy Crisis Center, 7.26 07/26/2007 - 11:00 AM

Some of you may have noticed, perusing this website, that it is frequented by quite a large contingent of sexist, shallow, cliquish, hormonally-driven and lustful tennis freaks to whom, it often seems, Hottness is all. And the men who read this blog aren' always all that high-minded, either. . . But let's leave them out of it for now.Frankie

Ladies, here's your chance to lay all your cards on the table. I am asking each of you to step up and submit your Hott 5, in order of Hottness (hottest guy at No. 1). Feel free to add a comment to each of your choices, but keep it brief. Oh, and you men, you can talk Federer's slice backhand or something. . .

We'll do this in honor of Frankie, aka Tire Boy, who took out Juan Del Potro yesterday in Indianapolis.  I am due back from Newfoundland Sunday night, so have a great weekend.

Daylily is in the house!!!! We have missed you.

Posted by jhurwi 07/26/2007 at 02:15 PM

I'm not going to volunteer my own Top-5 list (it's hard for me to compare the looks of today's players with those I thought were gorgeous when I was closer to their own age). However, I suspect that Spanish players will figure heavily in the aggregate statistics-- and they know it, too, to judge by their penchant for modelling with or without clothes.

The best "eye-candy" event I ever attended was Feliciano Lopez vs. Daniele Bracciali at New Haven a couple of years ago. Lopez for all the obvious reasons; that was the year the ball-girls at Wimbledon went gaga over him. Bracciali might not figure on too many people's lists (unless you want to restrict the category to "players over 30"), but his classic Roman profile and salt-and-pepper hair were very striking when you saw him up close. And the contrast of styles in their appearance was memorable!

Posted by luvten 07/26/2007 at 02:15 PM

1. Roddick
2. Haas
3. Gonzales
4. Mathieu
5. Safin

Tennis=best sport on tv for checking out the hotties
A few shirt changes (if we're lucky) and lots of close-ups throughout the matches

Posted by Ana 07/26/2007 at 02:15 PM

1. Safin by a mile.

2. Bjorn Borg.

Posted by Samantha 07/26/2007 at 02:16 PM

1, Cliffie, 2, Rafter 3, Haas, 4, Borg 5, Andrea.

Posted by Cal10s 07/26/2007 at 02:17 PM

My Picks: Tommy Robredo, Feliciano Lopez, Carlos Moya, James Blake, Juan Carlos Ferrero

And for "cutie pies" (although no guy wants to be called that):
Richard Gasquet, Tomas Berdych

And absolutely not on either list: Safin

Posted by Samantha 07/26/2007 at 02:19 PM

I want to alter my list, exclude Haas, because I should have put Cliffie in twice because nobody comes close, sometimes I need a cold shower after seeing him.

Posted by daylily 07/26/2007 at 02:19 PM

jenn, you are so sweet. i missed you, too. like older men, i see...

Posted by MrsSanta 07/26/2007 at 02:19 PM

Football players at least look like athletes and not paunchy middle aged CPAs in ill-advised outfits. *Waves to Schilling*

Perpetually new Chela? Why Rubin why why why?

Posted by Sam 07/26/2007 at 02:19 PM

"moronic, but hot"

LOL

Posted by Sam 07/26/2007 at 02:21 PM

"Football players at least look like athletes "

Have you seen some of the linemen?

Posted by Sherlock 07/26/2007 at 02:22 PM

MrsSanta, that needs qualification. Every defensive tackle and offensive lineman makes Schilling look like Nadal. :)

Posted by Jenn 07/26/2007 at 02:22 PM

For those of you insisting on discussing football hotties, the list begins and ends with REGGIE BUSH. Beth, some support here?

Posted by omar 07/26/2007 at 02:22 PM

When Fed smiles he slightly resembles the kind of look you see from guys on Dateline: To Catch A Predator.

With Nadal's perpetual scowl and butt-picking, I don't know how sexy that is to women. He looks like he's constantly puzzled by a question he can't answer.

Posted by 07/26/2007 at 02:24 PM

...well, in defense of mrsclause, those off/def lineman do have an upper body, schilling has noodles, so i would agree with the point.

Posted by L. Rubin 07/26/2007 at 02:24 PM

Mrs. Santa,

What's wrong with Chela? This is the same man who spit on Lleyton Hewitt, remember?

Posted by robbyfan 07/26/2007 at 02:26 PM

OMAR!!! Will you be my new BFF? You nailed it!

He looks like he's constantly puzzled by a question he can't answer.

That describes him perfectly and I thank you.

Patrick,
**I want the TW women give their opinions on the WTA when the time come. But, I will be consistent on my view on the ATP by reading this thread only.***

daaaaaaylily!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*kisees daylily on both cheeks*

Please tell me you had a moment to look at my "smiling Rafa" pictures from Sunday. I thought of you when I was posting them.

Posted by Sherlock 07/26/2007 at 02:30 PM

DMS, I don't know. Yes, they are strong, but a lot of those guys have bellies bordering on sumo style. :)

Posted by Grant 07/26/2007 at 02:30 PM

"For those of you insisting on discussing football hotties, the list begins and ends with REGGIE BUSH. Beth, some support here?"

No, we're discussing ugliness. It gives some of us something to do while others daydream about Safin ("He's so dreamy! I wonder if I could change him?") and Nadal.

Posted by D-Wiz 07/26/2007 at 02:31 PM

Jenn: I love me some Reggie, but IMO, the hottest Gridiron Trojans (recent/current) are Dallas Sartz & Mark Sanchez. And Taylor Mays' body is just INSANE. FO!

Posted by Sam 07/26/2007 at 02:31 PM

Jenn: Somehow I don't think Omar will appreaciate the same way you, Ros, et. al do. :-)

Posted by Jenn 07/26/2007 at 02:34 PM

Mark Sanchez! Nice reference D-Wiz. He is fantastic. My husband works for the USC Atheletic Department so I see those guys on a regular basis. Sanchez used to entertain my son after practices.

Grant - the ugliness discussion is just not as much fun!

Posted by Jamaican Girl 07/26/2007 at 02:36 PM

Ok here my pick

1)Nadal
2)Safin
3)Lopez
4)Andy
5)Moya

I can't honestly IMO pick Roger because his smile remindes me of someone wearing false teeth, and his gut does nothing for me.

Posted by patrick 07/26/2007 at 02:36 PM

Zola,
I do have that what do you call it? "hot-male-give-name-ophobia"
Now, I shall continue to read all threads.

Posted by Grant 07/26/2007 at 02:37 PM

Jenn - that's because you're not a straight male!

Posted by Beth 07/26/2007 at 02:37 PM

Jenn- I am in the house
Just had to read a bit to get caught up
so right - football hot is Reggie Bush - and just for good measure let's keep Leinart and Tom Brady available -
I am not a big fan of lineman as hot - they simply do not qualify - but I will not be the one to inform them of that - I personally always had a thing for linebackers - don't know why - but nice bodies come to mind
Back to tennis - I thought the list had to be current players - but since we can include retired players - I will include Borg , of course, and Rafter - duh.
But please - did someone really put Guillermo Vilas on a list. Maybe when he was young he was a specimen - but these days he just looks seedy - get a clue Guillermo and get a hairstyle.

Posted by steveintheknow 07/26/2007 at 02:40 PM

So I guess no one overly impressed with "Age of Love"? ;)

Posted by Beth 07/26/2007 at 02:43 PM

Whoo ya ! Sanchez - totally hot! Sartz is a toolacorrding to Jake and his friends who know the guy - but I will agree he is hot.
Dwiz - knows her trojans!
Sanchez is a very good kid - he worked with my kids a couple of summers ago at my father in laws business - before he started school . He and Jake wound up being pretty good friends.
And as usual - he thought Missie was older than she really is - and keeps asking Jake at school why Missie is not there ? He just cannot wrap his head around the fact that she is still in highschool.

Posted by Jenn 07/26/2007 at 02:44 PM

Grant, you're right, of course. But I think the women of TW are feeling a bit giddy that a "Who's Hot" discussion has been officially endorsed by The Man, when we usually have to skulk around the OT threads with such subjects (see recent discussion after Disco Tommy's nude photos were discovered). Speaking of Disco, surprised he is not getting more mentions here after showing the world all that he has to offer.

"get a clue Guillermo and get a hairstyle." Classic. This thread has produced some interesting mentions.

Posted by robbyfan 07/26/2007 at 02:45 PM

I'm kind of surprised Andy Murray is not getting more love from the teenagers here.

Posted by Beth 07/26/2007 at 02:47 PM

Robbyfan - according to my daughter - and her teen friends - Murray is fugs. So nope - I doubt he would get much love from them.
Not when Nadal is on the menu - so to speak.

Posted by Jenn 07/26/2007 at 02:49 PM

Andy Murray? Noooooooooooo. (can't speak for the teenage population, but I cannot imagine he makes any list except for the one Grant is putting together). His brother is a bit cuter, but certainly not hot list material, IMO.

Posted by MrsSanta 07/26/2007 at 02:49 PM

Linemen aren't real players Sam everyone knows that.

He's not quite an athlete but Pierluigi Collina needs to be a part of fug list. In fact he should sponsor it.

Posted by Sam 07/26/2007 at 02:51 PM

"His brother is a bit cuter,"

Talk about damning with faint praise ...

Posted by Liz (for Federer 4-ever) 07/26/2007 at 02:52 PM

Oh, thank you for this post Pete...

5. Rafael Nadal -- he's puppy dog cute. I love his broken English and the way his eyebrows seem to have a mind of their own.

4. Marat Safin -- when I get past his body and that devilish "I don't give a damn" look of his, I just love a man who knows how to wear a necklace. His is all over the place.

3. Fernando Gonzalez -- Such hottness. He's puppy dog cute, but cuter than Rafa, just MHO. Poor me. When he met my boy Federer in three finals, I was torn. I love you Gonzo, but when you're up against my boy Fed, well...

2. James Blake -- I'm sorry but my boy James actually looks better off the court than on, clothes-wise. Now if I could send Nike some designs on how to dress him. James went to Harvard, he can write (I just read his book) and he took my boy Fed to 4 hard fought sets last year in the US Open. Best match played at the US Open in recent memory.

1. Roger Federer -- who else, right? I'm still blown away by seeing the Fed in person in Miami this year. Television doesn't do him justice. That is one gorgeous hunk of flesh. He hasn't stopped smiling. That man is loving life and has some sweet strokes to boot. He deserves the top spot. Not only that, he's fluent in four languages, good to the media, his fans and gives his woman (and his mother) credit where credit is due for the contribution they have made to his life. Gotta love him. I also like the fact that you hardly ever see him sweat. Speaking of the Blake/Fed match at the '06 Open -- he did some sweating that night coz James took it to him, God bless him.

Sorry folks, but I have to have another # 1 and that's...

1. Stefan Edberg -- Lean body, golden hair and the way he attacked the tennis court. Whoa, mama! He's got the ATP sportsmanship award named after him (which my boy Fed has won 3 times, by the way) and had the best looking game this side of Federer's game. I cried the day Stefan retired and didn't have a favorite male player for years. Until one day, I read a post retirement article by Edberg and he mentioned that he still followed tennis and there was this guy named Federer whose game he liked to watch. I had never even watched this guy named Federer play so I gave him a chance.

I've been hooked on the Fed ever since....drool

Honorable mention...

Patrick Rafter--its the Aussie accent and the pony tail

Bjorn Borg--the original Swede. The long hair, the headband...sadly, I wasn't following tennis when he was playing but I do remember the final when McEnroe beat him. I remember grumbling, who is this loud mouth American beating up on that cute Swedish guy?

Mario Ancic--its that little baby face on that long, lean body

Bob/Mike Bryan--they're cute, they finish each other's sentences and they're winning and look good doing it. When Americans were whining about going over to Europe for the clay court season, they were over there making the finals of most of the events on the clay court calendar. Go Mike and Bob!

Posted by daylily 07/26/2007 at 02:52 PM

robbyfan, sorry, but are you BLIND? oh, i get it, you were joking!! are teens necessarily deprived of good taste by virtue of their age? don't think so!

rosia, cheeky kisses back to you. i haven't seen the pix but i just glanced (need time to savor) and omg, chica, you got my two faves, rafa and carlos bernardes together!!!!!!!!! yay!

rafa looks supremely hottttt. i think he's gonna be like fine wine, you know....

Posted by Sherlock 07/26/2007 at 02:53 PM

Well, at least Querrey and the good doctor have made it a close match. I can't imagine it's great tennis to watch.

Posted by Jamaican Girl 07/26/2007 at 02:54 PM

Beth even if Nadal was not on the menu Murray would barely crack the top 100

Posted by robbyfan 07/26/2007 at 02:55 PM

We need a sarcasm emoticon, Pete!

Posted by Rani 07/26/2007 at 02:58 PM

I respectfully disagree. Tennis = SECOND best sport on tv for checking out the hotties. Soccer = best sport on tv for checking out the hotties. The World Cup is hottie heaven.

Hi , Daylily !
Hey - thought Ryan said it was raining in Indy - I see Querrey just won.

Posted by Liz (for Federer 4-ever) 07/26/2007 at 03:06 PM

You know, the thing I don't like about Murray is he seems to be whining about something all the time. I've never ever seen him look like he's enjoying his chosen profession.

I saw him in Miami as well. He was practicing with Jonas Bjorkman and Brad Gilbert was there with them. They just exuded this "don't you dare approach us" attitude, so I just snapped my picture and moved on.

When I got to the practice court where Fed was, you got the impression that he knows and expects people to watch him, but he's ok with it. Even though he was busy warming up for his match, he was as I have heard him say in numerous interviews "relaxed" and ready to go out on the court and play his match. He even made time to sign some autographs. He is truly a class act.

Posted by Beth 07/26/2007 at 03:13 PM

LIz
whle I am not the majoy Fed fan that you are - I agree wholeheartedly that he is a class act and very friendly to his fans . At least that was my experience when I saw in at IW.
And just like you - I hate Murrays' whiny attitude.although I have never seen him in person.

Posted by Tim 07/26/2007 at 03:14 PM

I agreee the amount of gay guys who are tennis fans is big, so have to play along here...

Enqvist
Clement
Safin
Verdasco
Gasquet
Rochus (taller, he'd be top of list)

back in the day, Berasategui and Corretja

total packages, and none of those scrawny body parts so many tennis players have...

Rafter (no pony tail!) and Edberg get mentions back in the day, totally appealing

Posted by Beth 07/26/2007 at 03:14 PM

that should read " major"

Posted by daylily 07/26/2007 at 03:15 PM

Hi beth!

Posted by 07/26/2007 at 03:19 PM

He might be the best tennis player there is but Fed is no hottie! not close. he's a dork.

Posted by Tim 07/26/2007 at 03:19 PM

the hottest player ever of course was Emilio Sanchez, also back in the day... how can anyone forget him?

Posted by Celia 07/26/2007 at 03:21 PM

robbyfan: this a little late but, the reason none of the teens(or at least THIS teen) isn't choosing Andy is because he looks like an OSTRICH(sp?)!!!

Posted by Beth 07/26/2007 at 03:23 PM

Tim - you are right there- Emilio is still a hott one - when he is there for Davis Cup
but - you don't have Fed on your list - how is that - I thought he was your favorite?

Can we add coaches to the list - cause the team of Verdasco and his Coach McDreamy - would have to move up to the top of quite a few lists around here.

Posted by highpockets 07/26/2007 at 03:23 PM

Since I'm one of the naughty ones Pete is referring to, I will of course post my "hottest" picks. Unfortunately, I have to go out for awhile. Back later.

Posted by Celia 07/26/2007 at 03:24 PM

Oh, and I'm changing my #4 pick from the Bryan Bros. to Ferrero. I totally forgot about him. I know he is a little too old for me, but I have a thing for those Spanish guys.

Posted by DMS 07/26/2007 at 03:26 PM

Ok, I give up, why did pete post a picture of johnny drama at the top of this thread?

Posted by Jamaican Girl 07/26/2007 at 03:26 PM

Celia -Andy looking like and OSTRICH lol; but very true

Posted by Beth 07/26/2007 at 03:30 PM

DMS - Frank D looks like Johnny Drama to you ? I need to go and review my Entourage discs.

Posted by Ryan 07/26/2007 at 03:34 PM

I guess it wasn't raining in Indy--I'm actually at work right now, about 25 minutes south of downtown Indy, so the weather up there must have been alright.

Posted by DMS 07/26/2007 at 03:40 PM

Beth: never seen this cat before, heard the name, yes, add the facial hair...presto, JD himself.

I wonder how many break points were in the ivo/querry match. Ryan, say hi to beckham if you make it to the matches, she will be there again tonight.

Posted by Tari 07/26/2007 at 03:42 PM

Fun reading this. :) My list (including retired players)

1. Rafter
2. Chris Lewis
3. Roger
4. Moya
5. Gonzo

Subject to change, as always. :)) Just my first draft!

Posted by Beth 07/26/2007 at 03:48 PM

I don't know DMS -Johnny Dram is just so skeazy - and this boy is really cute.
Tari - I have revised my list numerous times - to add older guys - names just keep popping into my head - so I say - it is our prerogative!

Posted by Jamaican Girl 07/26/2007 at 03:48 PM

DMS
In the ivo/querry match they were each broken once, querry had 7 break point on ivo's serve and ivo had 3 on querry's serve

Jamaican Girl-when I first saw Andy Murray I thought he looked like something/someone I had seen before. Then one day I saw a picture of an ostrich and I thought,"That's what he looks like!"

Posted by Jamaican Girl 07/26/2007 at 03:52 PM

Celia-I saw him once when he badly needed a shave and his hair comb and he looked sacry beyond all reason. So I know exactly what you me. LoL

Posted by DMS 07/26/2007 at 03:56 PM

Thank you Jam. Girl.

Beth: drama is simply misunderstood...LOL.

Posted by Jenn 07/26/2007 at 03:59 PM

I did not anticipate Gonzo or Ferrero getting listed in Top 5s. It is fascinating everyone's different taste.

Tim - nice mention of Corretja! Loved him. Really good looking, nice guy.

Posted by MissTari 07/26/2007 at 04:01 PM

hi! I am re-de-lurking (or is it de-re-lurking), mainly because of my joy of finally getting my US Open tickets in the mail and I knew you all would understand! so of course, I have to weigh in on the HOTT debate. It's very tough to narrow down to just five, because, as I keep telling my non-tennis-watching friends, there really are no truly horrible looking tennis players. OK, well, there are a couple of guys who teeter on the side of not-so-nice-to-look-at, but on the average, they all look good.

Here is my top 5, taken from current players, subject to change in the next 5 minutes ;)

5. Tommy Haas
4. Fernando Gonzalez
3. Juan Carlos Ferrero
2. Sebastien Grosjean
1. Roger Federer

I mean, you could make a top 5 list of just players from France! or Spain! or...you get my drift.

oh, and before I forget, I just want to thank you all for brightening some dark summer days! it's hard for me to get online anymore, but when I do, I giggle madly at some threads, and appreciate the thought that goes into others. so thanks.

Posted by 07/26/2007 at 04:01 PM

I wonder if your favorite player could not be included, would Roger make anyone's hott list?

Posted by MWE 07/26/2007 at 04:03 PM

1. Robby Ginepri
2. Tommy Haas
3. Novak Djokovic
4. Mikhail Youzhny
5. Nicholas Kiefer
6. Feliciano Lopez

Posted by Tari 07/26/2007 at 04:05 PM

MissTari! Nice to see you. :) Make sure you keep in touch right before the USO. Hopefully, we'll have a TW gathering during the middle weekend.

Posted by Kate 07/26/2007 at 04:06 PM

Darn only 5 oh well here goes
1. Rodddick (that smile does it for me)
2. Marat (the whole package)
3. Novak (cos he makes me laugh)
4. Rafter (it was the soft Aussie accent)
5. Johnny Mac now (the self depreication just cracks me up)

Posted by MissTari 07/26/2007 at 04:10 PM

hi, Tari! :) I will try, but it will be hard, since I don't have a computer at home anymore, and I take the week before the Open off for my tennis vacation! all tennis, all the time! my mom and I go to the qualies and have a great time. but I will do my darndest because I would love to meet everybody.

since I mentioned my mom, I guess I should mention that her favorite is Nadal, so we have plenty of lively discussions! and her second favorite is Alexander Peya. I have some VERY attractive photos of him in extreme close-up from last summer. nice.

Posted by jhurwi 07/26/2007 at 04:12 PM

Liz: you and I obviously have the same tastes both in past and present players--at least for #4 through #1 and honorable mentions, where your reasoning entirely agrees with mine. However, there are several other Spanish players I would pick ahead of Nadal (though he does have a cute boyish smile when he's relaxed).

Posted by Annabelle 07/26/2007 at 04:12 PM

1. Andy Roddick

2. Dmitry Tursonov
3. I am sure I'm forgetting someone here - sorry gorgeous!
4. Richard Gasquet
5. Pat Rafter

Posted by Samantha 07/26/2007 at 04:15 PM

Wow, a lot of Swedish guys made the lists and a extra shout out to those guys who participated and named their man crushes. Pretty cool particularly when many people are homophobic.

Posted by Tari 07/26/2007 at 04:18 PM

Well, try to e-mail me, I'll fill you in, Tari. :)

Posted by Beth 07/26/2007 at 04:18 PM

DMS - sadly - I don't think I misunderstand Drama at all - can we say loser - LOL ! still it is one of my favorite shows - and he is a great character.
Jenn - so true - lots of different tastes - something for everyone. Have to admit - I never thought much of Ferrero - way too skinny for my taste - but when I saw him in IW - I was impressed - he has a very handsome face - much better in person - although he is still pretty thin. There are so many tennis players that are attractive -but certainly not all - I could compile an unattractive list pretty quickly - but that is not what this thread is about.

Posted by Tari 07/26/2007 at 04:26 PM

I second that, Beth. JCF is VERY handsome up close. And yeah, he has a slight frame, but nothing wrong with that! It all looked pretty good to me. He was doing his stretches on the grass about five feet from me. *whistles*

Posted by Ronan 07/26/2007 at 04:28 PM

I'm surprised Guga Kuerten doesn't get any love here... The guy's pretty hott right ? Am I mistaking here ?

Posted by Jenn 07/26/2007 at 04:29 PM

Beth - thoughts on Vinny Chase? For me, he's a Top 5er. Something about that smile. And obviously I have a thing for the hair.
Fererro is just a no for me.

Posted by Jamaican Girl 07/26/2007 at 04:31 PM

Ronan -OMG I completely forgot about him and he is such a Hottie. I think he needs to start playing some more, I really miss him. If I only had to pick the two hottiest men in tennis, I would chose Guga and Rafa.

Posted by Beth 07/26/2007 at 04:32 PM

Tari - I was not complaining! I kept trying to get Missie to go get his autograph - but he was on the phone - so we did not want to be rude.

Ronan - Guga is cute because his personality is so adorable - but as for superficial looks only hottness - I don 't think he measures up - at least not in my opinion.

Posted by MissTari 07/26/2007 at 04:32 PM

oh, I LOVE Guga. unfortunately, I just don't think of him as a current player, and I hate that I don't! he walked right past me once at the Open and I visibly swooned. he smiled that smile at me and kept going.

and I wasn't a Ferrero fan either until I saw him from very up-close at last year's Open. as my friend would say, two words: yum-mee.

Posted by Jenn 07/26/2007 at 04:33 PM

Ronan - good point! Guga looked fantastic at the French trophy ceremony this year. To me he was exceptionally cute as opposed to hot, but I think a good case could be made for him.

Love Vinny Chase - a definite winner ! ( although he has really narrow shoulders - if you look really close ) Actually - Missie thinks he bears a resemblance to Mark Sanchez - that we were discussing earlier. So she definitely approves!

The current crop of men on the tour dont really do it for me. U want an athlete who u feel can handle you the way he works with his tools..... i mean racquet. Firm strong and very sure of his shots, so for me its:

1) Rafael Nadal.... Is he beautiful or what? Thats the original spanish BULL

2)Davide Nalbandian.....I think of stallions when i see him... only from Argentina though

3)Any other spanish or south american will do

4)Novak Djokovic.... He's quite cute in his casual wear but his tennis wear still need a looooottt of work. the shorts just dont do anything for him. i suggest a better tailor

5)Jurgen Melzer

I think JAmie is more handsome than Andy, but Andy doesn't look like an OStrich!

I heard somewhere that he said he usually cuts his own hair. A habit from the days in Spain and even after started earning a lot, he still likes to cut his won hair ( imagine that!). He repeats that here:

Sherlock...here I am! I actually have four different lists:

List #4: NICE TO LOOK AT AND OH-SO DECENT MEN:
A. Bryan Brothers
B. Blakie
C. Edberg

List #3: EYE CANDY, JUST LOOKING:
A. Haas
B. Moya
C. Robredo
D. Rafa shirtless, rototilling my yard in 85 degree heat and high humidity. If I had a pool, he'd be the pool-boy of choice....If I had a jet....same thing. Way too younger otherwise, but I get the appeal.

List #2: INTRIGUING, BEWARE:
A. Nalby: just something about him. He'd bring donuts.
B. Keifer (bad-boy)

List #1:
A. TMF: nothing sexier than big-time brains, honorable, principled man, metrosexual European thing going for him (he could order just the perfect bottle of wine at dinner and open the limo door for me), plays tennis like no other, good looking,
great dresser, good sense of humor. I'd adore him and would settle for any and all positions, Sherlock. He absolutlely does it for me. When he plays tennis, I am transfixed.
B. Safin: Nobody is more handsome. Broody and sexy. Great sense of fun. Danger lurks. My second favorite player.
C. Fabrice Santoro. Just adorable...those twinkling eyes...but alas he is too short for me. The magician. He's something very special.
D. Pat Rafter. He's an absolute perfect specimen of a man---he'd be a great friend AND lover.

Well, I'm going to steal Liz's post on her #1 and my #1:

And for those who say Roger has a gut! You need to go over to rf.com and look at the "tummy" thread. You'll see pictures of his stomach with no gut all day long! But Liz described why Roger is #1 to me perfectly so I copied her answer!

2. I don't know his name, but this is a chair ump (I believe from Spain) who does a lot of men's matches. He's a cutie too. If anyone knows who I'm talking about - give me his name.

3. Blake (from the neck up). I actually liked Blake's face better with the dreads but he still has a nice face. The rest? Well... I'll plead the 5th on that...

4. Rafter was nice looking in his day. I haven't seen him lately so I don't know what he looks like now.

5. Nadal (from the neck down). His face does nothing for me, but I do like his body. lol!

Honorable mentions: Moya, Gonzo, Juan Carlos

For those of you who think Guga's cute and not hot : http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j271/davis_2006/Tennis%20-%20Others/af832916.jpg

... But I believe he's cute too ;)
He's not my fav', but I was just surprised to see him nowhere.
My top five would be :

1 - Roddick
2 - Roger (this can be shocking to some people, but I find him really attractive)
3 - Marat
4 - Nadal (off-court only !!!)
5 - Guga

Maplesugar - you hit the nail on the head with your description of Roger. I don't think there would be a parent around who would not like to see their daughter settle down with Roger. He is the perfect gentlemen. Again, I go back to the doubles match that he and Mirka played together at the Hopman cup and you could just see that he is a gentleman (picking up her racket for her, etc.) Even the announcers noticed that and said "well, he's the perfect gentleman and partner, isn't he!)... That makes him beautiful to a lot of folks. (But I think he's also beautiful physically too!)...

Nadal!! Michelangelo would make his sculpture LOL:)

FoT > You might be talking about Carlos Ramos... Been to a tourney once, and teenagers were cheering for Ancic and giggling.
And once they shouted the same things to the ref, who was Ramos, if I remember well. He turned bright red. Really funny stuff.
